  • "This Technology" refers to grid preparation for cryo-electron microscopy, imaging/structural analysis technology that directly forms a lipid bilayer in the through-holes of the carbon support membrane of an electron microscopy grid based on Patent No. US 11,994,525 B2, and maintains membrane proteins in a state close to their physiological environment for data acquisition.
  • "This License" refers to the right of the Licensee to use this Technology.
  • "Serial Number" refers to a unique identification number assigned upon completion of purchase.
  • "Licensor" refers to Lucanid Sciences Inc., which operates this Service with the permission of the university that is the rights holder of this Technology.

Article 2 (Terms of Use for Online Store)

By agreeing to these Terms of Use, you represent that you have reached the age of majority in your state or region of residence, or that you have reached the age of majority in your state or region of residence and consent to your minor dependents using this site.

You may not use this Service for illegal or improper purposes, nor may you violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws) in your use of this Service.

  • Geographic Region: No restrictions (provided that applicable export control laws and regulations are followed)

Article 4 (Prohibited Activities)

In addition to other prohibited activities set forth in these Terms of Use, the Licensee shall not engage in the following activities.

  • Redistribution, resale, or sublicensing of this License to third parties
  • Reverse compilation, reverse engineering, or analysis of this Technology
  • Illegal activities or activities contrary to public order and morality using this Technology
  • Transfer or sharing of the License number with third parties
  • Use beyond the scope of use defined in these Terms
  • Illegal purposes, or solicitation to execute or participate in illegal activities
  • Violation of international, national, prefectural, state, or local regulations, rules, laws, or ordinances
  • Infringement or violation of the intellectual property rights of Lucanid Sciences Inc. or others
  • Harassment, abusive language, insults, defamation, threats, or discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, nationality, or disability
  • Submission of false or misleading information
  • Upload or transmission of viruses or malicious code that affects the functionality or operation of this Service
  • Collection or tracking of personal information of others
  • Spam, phishing, spider, crawling, scraping, and similar activities
  • Interference with or circumvention of security features of this Service or related websites

Lucanid Sciences Inc. reserves the right to refuse any order placed by you. Additionally, at its sole discretion, it may limit or cancel the purchase quantity per person or per order.

You agree to provide the latest, complete, and accurate purchase information and account information for all purchases made on this site. You agree to promptly update your account information and other information, such as email address, credit card number, and expiration date.

Article 6 (Issuance and Management of Serial Numbers)

Upon completion of purchase, a Serial Number will be sent to the registered email address. Support will be provided on an individual basis linked to the Serial Number. Manage the Serial Number carefully and do not disclose it to third parties. The Licensor is not responsible for damages resulting from leakage or unauthorized use of the Serial Number.

Article 7 (Support)

The Licensee may receive technical support using the Serial Number. The scope and method of support will follow the guidance provided on the website. Support provision is limited to what is commercially reasonable, and we do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the responses provided.

Article 8 (Version Upgrades and Updates)

If significant changes or updates to this Technology or License occur, notification to the Licensee will be made by posting on the website. The Licensee is responsible for regularly checking the website. The provision and content of version upgrades are at the discretion of the Licensor, and we do not guarantee updates.

Article 9 (General Provisions)

This site reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

  • If the License period (one year) for grid preparation experiments expires

Upon termination of the License, the Licensee must immediately cease using this Technology. Obligations and liabilities of the parties arising before the termination date shall survive the termination of this Agreement.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. All disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Fukuoka District Court or Fukuoka Summary Court.
